i got my eurovox two months ago and i was getting a weak signal so i bought a booster from e bay and it upped my signal from 8% to 80% every channel is perfect now except from the setanta channels
i have tried changing the frequency as shown in the sticky thread and still no joy also none of the other channels that share the setanta transponders are jumping or flickering it is only the setanta channels i have followed all the tuts for this sort of problem ie reseting ,power scan ect and the only thing i dont think i have done is reflash it my previous stb was a pace 4100 ( no booster needed for this box ) and beleive it or not the setanta channels on that also used to flicker but not as often a my eurovox v ![]() strange ![]() any info is greatly apreciated |

Hi, I've heard a lot of people complain about setanta channels and not just on Eurovox but on Virgin (Samsung) as well. I'd recommend getting new quality cables, connectors, splitters, whatever you can change to improve signal - do it .. You just might be lucky enough and boost it a bit more. I think it's worth it as well since it's gonna cost you around £10-15 to do it. |

Im doubtful if getting new cables/splitters etc will do much good,if they were at fault surely other channels would be affected? since you say that Setanta has always been a bit jumpy, even before you got the Eurovox, looks like its just a problem with that channel ...Im wondering if you have a basic subscription to Virgin? or are you just plugged in to a redundant cable? you shouldnt really need a signal booster if you have a Virgin connection...be careful how much you are messing about in your efforts to improve things, you may lose more of your channels for the sake of improving just one ...
