Right, first off, hello all..
Secondly, sorry in advance for posting the usual "newbie" questions.. I've just moved into a new house that has an NTL cable connection.. Im currently having to use a dial up connection as Im waiting for BT to activate my bb.. I want to utilise the cable connection so I have bought a "Surfboard 5100i with upgraded firmware & crossnetwork (NAT) cable" Right, obviosly I dont have a working Mac address yet.. I have friends who live local to me who will let me try their addresses.. I need help with: 1, If I change my Mac address to the same as my mates Mac address (3 miles away..) Can I mess up his connection?? 2, How do I find out which UBR I am in if I dont have a current connection? My post code is LE10 2** Any help or comments would be appriciated! Thanks in advance.. |
