Default splitter- power pass feature?

hi,
im looking to buy a splitter for my eurovox and current vm box. i came across one with a power pass feature. i dont understand what this feature actualy does but it seems its important if you have a cable box with talk-back.

what it says:

Use Power-pass connection for existing equipment using talkback such as ntl cable modem or cable TV. Use other output to split to new equipment such as add on cable tv box.

anyone know what it does and is it important that i but one with this feature?

HI Riza,
The powerpass feature is for supplying DC to a Sky dish. It is not used for Eurovox type boxes.

HI Riza,
Replied before reading your question properly and posted too quickly.
The powerpass feature is for supplying DC to a Sky dish. It is not used for Eurovox type boxes so makes no difference whether you your splitter has this feature or not.

Hi,
The difference in frequency range is purely academic as the lower end is not used in this application.
I use a Konig but I beleive a Qam is just as good. (link below).
