Hi,
I'm new to the forums and new to using the Eurovox box too. I've got a Eurovox Max V (the black one), and so far it's working just fine. My question is: - How do I scan for new channels without messing up or overwriting the channels I've already got? I've heard that there's a way to do a scan, and any new channels will be added to the bottom of the list of channels I've already got. How would I do that? I spent ages renaming and organising the channels and I don't want to have to do it all again. Thanks in advance! |

Hi,
First upload .cdf file of your current box settings - just in case ? The run Auto Scan - Should pick up any missed / new channels Some channels may be lists under different names - TVCH etc TM |

Looks like you have not had it happen yet? its happened 3 times to me in the last fortnight...what happens is when watching as normal the picture will go off and the screen turn black and a message appears saying "Updating please wait " after a short time (which seems like forever) picture returns and all is normal again ...thats about all I can tell you ...

That sounds like a pain in the a*se if you are watching something you have been looking forward to, can't you set the box up to update at a certain time like four in the morning so it is unlikely to clash with your viewing. Probably not though, I suppose thats the price you pay for free channels.

Press the "menu" button on your remote. Go to "Installation" > "User Installation" Enter the code (probably 0000) Press the RED button on the remote for an "Auto Scan" The screen will go blank for a few secs then will start scanning the channels. It won't effect the channels you've already got or the way you've set up your "Favourites" Any new channels that are found will be added to the end of the list of channels. So if you go to "Favourites" > "Add Favorites" you can scroll to the bottom (or go to 1 and scroll up one) and decide where you want to put them in your favs. |
