HI
i live in north london, southgate and i have had chipped cable for a while. i used to know someone who would chip the box, but every so often the cards would burn out. the current card is totally screwed, hardly any channels work, and the movie channels need a pin. now the guy who does the cards says there is nothing he can do anymore. SO... ive read about this eurovox, but im worried about getting caught with box feed back. also have absolutly no idea which is the best box to get, how reliable eurovox is and setting it up. how many channels fit in the box? do the sky movie channels work and other pin needed channels? any help would be great, thanks |

Hi thegame24.
I just bought a Eurovox box last sunday and it arrived today. I got the latest one, the 2008 black model and well what can i say but its bloody brilliant. I have tons of channels and just finished putting them in order via connecting it to my PC through Null Modem Cable and Voxer. I get all the Movies, all the sports and the other chanels ![]() Infact you get all the channels from Virgin that would normally cost you £172 a month. I would highly recommend it. |

is the connecting easy to do?
and can i move the box upstairs and downstairs or will the channels be lost. also whats this i hear about needing firmware updates etc 120£ a month? which brings me to another question, would i still be able to order movies and ppvs eg wrestling and boxing. what about that tv on demand stuff etc etc Last edited by thegame24; 31-08-07 at 01:47 AM. |

As regards the setting up all you have to do is to plug it in,let it scan then save the data how difficult is that?
You can move it where you like the channels will not be lost You dont have to pay for any updates,it automatically updates itself.... All this relates to the new Eurovox MaxV 1980 of course Now then as to ordering movies and ppv's etc that has to be done via your cable box as you know, dont know how you are going to get round that, because as you state, the box is screwed or is it? Ive read that you can sometimes pick up the pay per view events via the Eurovox if someone near you has ordered them, but I have no personal experience of that myself ... Hope this helps ... |
