I downloaded some files that says you can flash the firmware and as a consequence that'll unlock it for use on other ISPs.

If I'm allowed I can post the read me? However, more info can be retrieved if you type home hub hack in to Google

Hiya edds, its risky flashing try the PF Ann suggested and if you are going to flash it have another BT compat router handy just in case, but i hope it works for you

hi, the bt home hub is manufactered by speedtouch, to unlock is simple. downgrade the firmware back to speedtoch. this means the modem is totally unlocked with no problems what so ever, just back up you original settings, i have done many tests on the unlocked hub. i have it working is a wifi point for dsl, ethernet port 1 acts as the link (dsl cable modem >>>>>> ethernet port 1>>>>>>> wifi broadcast. the adsl slot is also still active. the only thing you cant do is have wifi dsl and a wired dsl computer. but you can connect 8 or more computer through wifi on the web interface menu. hope this helps guys.

Sure you can Unlock the Home Hub.

Just like Boogyman said, the Hub is made by Speedtouch. You can Flash the Firmware just as you would a ST and your good to go
