hi guys,

i've got a friend that wants a pace 4010i modified, he lives in leeds, and thats ex cw. i live in a pure n** area. will i be able to modify this from my place or will i have to go to leeds and let the box update first in the leeds area and then j-tag it? a bit confused.

i forgot to say i can get the BK and IRD from the card for that box. but will the BK change depending on what area you are in i.e pure, ex cw, tele?

i thought the bk changes, coz there are different bytes for different areas.??

ird and bk never change, not sure about it working in ex c+w area? if it does just have to use ex c+w flash as you asked, can anyone else on the forum say they have a 4010 working in ex c+w area for bb.

i got a feelin that i read somewhere that the 4010 dont work in c&w area. but im not sure.

Yes it should work, but you will probably have to set net id with a funcard, in pure it auto sets, but in c&w it doesnt. these boxes work on docsis or davic.

hi guys... tried that 4010 in ex c&w area. i dont even get the free channels. it say no signal on the tv screen. however i didnt set the net id with the funcard as r.diesel suggested, might try that tho. also the guy has a sammy (not ch*ped) and that seems to work fine?

4010 should work set net id as red says.
