Eurovox Max V

Hi Guy's

I'm a newbie to all this so go easy. A friend of mine recommended I get a EUROVOX box to watch Vir*** Me*ia channels, he owns a eurovox max 3 i think. I've recently purchased a EUROVOX MAX V!!!!!

Would you say this is the best box on the market?

How reliable are these things? he's had his going for about a year!! (so it's paided of it's self really)

Do I need to subscribe to VM?.................Will i get found out if i don't!!!!!(He pay's the minimum £15...but obvioully get's all the channels...is this safer?????

My opinion (for what its worth) is that yes it is the best box and I find mine is very reliable so far....its always best to have a Virgin subscription,so that your line is guaranteed,as you can never be sure that the conditions on the line wont just dissapear according to Virgins technical needs if you dont have one ...

Hi, are these things illegal and can VM detect them, where is the best place to get one as i dont really trust ebay. Also do i need to leave my current stb connected or jus replace it, as doesnt the VM box need to send a return signal?? Sorry for all the questions im a newbie

I wouldnt think that Virgin can detect them or something might have been done before now ...personally I dont know of anywhere else other than Ebay that you can get one....and yes its best to leave your set top box connected with a splitter as it does have a return path that is used in the interactive stuff ...if you send me an Email I can give you the name of a very trusted seller on Ebay to get one from if thats the way you decide to go ....

When the encryption changes does the box auto update, and can i het all ppv? Again sorry for all the questions, and is the 2008 box the best way to go?

The box does auto update but to what degree I dont know ....Ive had it update 2 or 3 times in the last month....as to the PPV'S you can pick them up for free, if someone near you has ordered them,as to being able to order them yourself you will have to do that via your Virgin set top box of course...as to whether its the way to go,it is for me beyond any doubt and for lots of others on these forums from what I read...having said that others mIght have different opinions of course ...I cant speak about any other boxes as I only have experience of the Eurovox MaxV 2008 ....Its ok about the questions,thats why this forum is here, but you may well find that they have all been answered before if you read through all the pages

I took the plunge today and got a EuroVox max v 2008, its a quality piece of kit and only took me 15 mins to set up, Thanks everyone for their advice and i highly recommend
