Default connecting a dimmer switch

Hi

Hope some one can help me, I've got two spot lights that i want to control with a double gang dimmer one for each light I've got the supply coming in
and then one cable for each light. on the dimmer there is L,L1 & Common on each side can anyone please tell me how to wire this up thanks.

You want the supply coming into the common.If there are 2 commons you want a loop going from one to the other.Then the switch wire( the wire going to the light) comes from the L terminal on each side.Don't loop these together. 1 light in each of the 2 L's
