Hi all,
I have been lurking around this forum for the last few weeks and finally thought id register and say hello and ask a quick question ![]() I am having NTL cable TV installed in the next few weeks and i would like to know what cable/wireless/sneaky ways I can use to hide the cable as it has to go from one side of my front room to the other. I have attached a highly professional picture called "front room" as you can see my TV is on 1 side of the room by a shelf that will hold my NTL (sorry virgin) box. The cable to get the TV feed will need to go from the small black box stuck on the outside of my house through the wall, across a door way along some skirting and up into the ntl box. Anyone have any ideas how i can get the cable across? Perhaps I can make my own cable up using some super thin cabling? (Does that exists) or perhaps I can host the ntl box just through the wall and then setup some wireless gadget to carry to the signal to my tv? …anyway I cant go under the floor as its tiles underneath the carpet can anyone offer advice? The cable guy will run the cable round the architrave and skirting, I think if you get him to run it round outside and through the wall by tv is your best bet, you cant really use any other type of cable, and you cant use wireless on that side of box, you would have to have stb by the connection near the door.
