Well seems i've fixed it
![]() I took apart the brown box attached to the outside wall, Removed a forward Path Attenuator 6dB and removed the 2 way splitter in there aswell and swapped it with one inside my home. The stuttering has stopped dead I've done tests on a channel that stutted bad before and just removing the outside Attenuator just like magic stopped. Tried on off , on off and as soon as the Attenuator as added the signal started to chopp up. This is the way my fix seems to work but it may not be the right way for everyone. |

I removed the splitter and all the odds and ends of cable and fitted the smalled splitter off my modem/TV . I then put the large splitter on the modem/TV and totally kept the Forward Path Attenuator off the line. I did try the Forward Path Attenuator back on my line but in the house, this for some reason took out my modem and it would not sync to the network at all, once removed it worked. I then retuned the digibox and found a further 6+ channels and now my signal dose not move at all, it's rock solid on 81% and never shifts. I have had the channels on that went funny on all night and not one has had a twitch or glitch in it. I would recomend looking in your brown box to see if there are any cables or splitters that shouldn't be there. My fixing this was basicly trial and error and alot of running in and out watching the TV for signs of errors. The main thing that was messing me about was the Forward Path Attenuator found inside the brown box, as soon as that was removed the picture cleared up in an instant. |
