eurovox max will not power up

I have a eurovox max box which I bought in september 2006 have had no problems until about aweek ago when I put the box on standby the display disappeared apart from the two green dots that seperate the time (hours & minutes) the box would not turn back on but when left for a while decided to start working again it has been doing this since but now it will not turn on at all I have tried to unplug it but other than that I dont really know what else I can do as it wont turn on if anyone has any ideas or help I would be really grateful. I am not great technically so please simplify any info thanks

i have spoken to someone who has been given the updates to update their own box which they have only had for a month it is the latest box and wondered if anyone knows wether it would be worth me giving them a try on my box as it is currently not working anyway I feel I have nothing to lose does anyone know wether these updates are for specific boxes or do they work on all eurovox boxes thanks

The updates only apply to the Eurovox MaxV 2008

Mine an october 2006, went down 2 weeks ago same problem as this, gonna try jtagging it later.

can you tell me how you do that as i am not very clued up on these things i do understand some stuff but not technical info maybe its a woman thing!

Hi M8,
how did you get on
with your box,I have the same problem with my box I bought it sept 2007,was working ok until a couple of weeks ago,started switching itself off and on ,then i unplugged it now its dead not a kick out of it,
let me know if you get it fixed.

hi - my Eurovox (2006) box wont boot up bar two green lights midway on the led panel; tried updating the flash but that didnt work, I suspect something may have blown on the circuit board but am not sure. problem sounds slightly similair to the ones on this thread, if anyone knows outcome or has any ideas, would appreciate

I have been told now that its pretty much a lost cause and is not going to work no matter what you do so I think if you are all in the same situation as myself its time to replace the box as the users on this site seem to know their stuff and cannot come up with a remedy so there probably isn't one
