Default Eurovox many problems! Help needed..please

I have had my EUROVOX for 3 years now and i have recently put this firmware on my box. Like a dumbass i didnt know what firmware to use and i just downloaded the EUROVOX_MAX-V_02_07_07 onto my box without knowing which software i had or knowing what EUROVOX Model was using whether it be a EUROVOX 1,2 OR MAX. i am guessing 1 because ive had it for 3 years now.

So when i have downloaded the firmware and plugged the EUROVOX back in i got a Back Screen with NO SIGNAL wrote in the middle. I then decided to go to menu and have a look.

Now when ive gone to USER INSTALLATION, all the freqency and symbol rates are blank and when i do a powerscan it keeps giving me a LEVEL of 98% but a quality of only 5% and no channels ever come up. Also in my factor setting there is now only 2 options SYMBOLIRATE (0997) + SYMBOLIRATE (0878)(i am not 100% certain of the last four digits for both of them) instead of all the different locations that i used to have on my old firmware have gone and i dont know which firmware i used to have so i cant put it back. Also since putting this software on my remote has stopped working!!

So Basically ive got a load of problems and no clue how to fix them. My EUROVOX system info is:

model: DVB-XC BOXV TDA

S/W: VER 1.0 STC4 JUN 28 2007

H/W: VER 2.0T K5

BOOTSTRAP: V001

i am using the BOX in MANCHESTER

Can anyone help me please!!

sounds like you have put the wrong firmware on m8.i think the firmware is backward compatibale but only for certain models.i would go with the 2006 firmware found in the download section.

Hi,
Had same problem with my blue box, started with the earliest firmware and worked up until " No Signal " - then back one, still working fine.

there is a differant tuner in redmax compared to blue box so differant tuner driver in each firmware ,easist way is to look through top cover to tuner on the right/back the bluebox 2006 covers 11 of the vent slots on cover , redbox covers 8
your box is a SILVER eurovox there were two model the first EV1 only has one scart plug on rear the EV2 2 has two scarts

thanks for helpin me distinguish between the boxes alex..

I have used the blue box firmware and now when i POWERSCAN my quality and level are going up to 99% which is good and after changing the symbol rate to 6.887 but still no channels..

After this the installation screen still showed no frequencies, so i tried an AUTO SCAN and i got the message.... NO TRANSPONDERS TO SCAN... i'm in manchester and still have no channels.

I'm really stuck here!
Can someone please help.....

hi mate
you say your box is silver then its an eurovox 1 or 2 bluebox max will go into you eurovox but your remote will not work you would need a max remote to control your box so you saying you have loaded bluebox into it puzzels me ?
anyway before you do a scan you need to clear data with remote ,then factory reset ,select ntl if that your area (6887 ),then change power scan from normal to full ,if you are going through any splitters remove them if possable to increase your signal strength for scanning ,then scan .

thats strange how your remote is still working as bluebox firmware in a eurovox 1 or 2 goes in but your remote won't work ,if your box is silver with 2 scarts then you need ev2 firmware if one scart then ev1 firmware
