I'm keen to update to this new september software but my pc won't detect the receiver. I'm using null modem cable to connect the two directly. I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly. I connected the back of the receiver with the back of my pc (the only plug that null modem cable would go into - looks similar to monitor input but it's not) is this correct or do I need to connect it differently? |

Thats correct, you connect a Null Modem cable to the Serial port on PC & Eurovox.
You then need to run DnUpMan while making sure your Eurovox is switched on. Click on the button marked 'DOWNLOAD', this will then search the comm ports (1-4) on your PC looking for the box. When it finds it it lets you know the firmware version, e.g. 'Version 2.10' D |

Thanks. That's exactly what I did, however it just won't recognise the receiver. I waited for about 5 minutes while it scanned all the ports but nothing. Any ideas, anyone |

Could be one of two things:
1) Are you sure its a 'Null Modem' and not just a serial extension cable (in a null modem cable the TX & RX pin positions are reversed). 2) Is your comm port on the PC numbered 1, 2, 3 or 4, if not (it could be comm 5 upwards) you will have to change it. D |

I had same problem. I removed power from Eurovox, waited 30 secs and then reapplied power. PC then detected it! |
