reading tsop image

Hi Folks

I have a eurovox 2008 (black box) that is stuck in standby.I know that jtagging same will fix it.My question is if I have another good working unit how can I read the tsop image so I can use same on the faulty unit.

The Tsop image file for the Black box is not out yet but you can get it working using the Red Tsop file as per my post at http://www.techwatch.co.uk/dbox2-eur...k-eurovox.html

I have one black box which i did manage to get working in this manner but when I try to load the critical update it tells me that the "firmware is not fit for this box".This means that I have a working box for now but it will probably die again.
Hopefully before that happens the new tsop image will be released and I can jtag again.

I also have another black box that this didn't work for me.Not sure if I got lucky jtagging the first one but I can't seem to get jkeys to work on this one.
picks up the box ok but when I click on flash and reboot box I get an error message about not recognizing key data (don't know exactly what it says).
any ideas please

There are 2 different chips used in the Max_V Black box, it's the Intel one that seems to be causing a problem with Jkeys.

The way to work around it is :-

Use Syymax_up program first, just open program and click on Start (button 3 connection), this will let the PC see the Eurovox. Close this progran and open Jkeys (fairly quickly), it will now see the box and allow you to Jtag it.

Yeah I have skymax and have found that if you use this to initalise the jtag
jkeys does pick up the box but my problem is after this when I click on flash I get the error.
I read somewhere on the forum the the model no. should be set to DXD426RD (1 Chip-GLA) and somewhere else that it should be set to 4900.
This confuses me a little as DXD426RD doesn't show up for me on the drop down menu and as stated I get error message on 4900.

Got another one back this morning just 2 green lights showing on display. Would not let me Jtag - something like your errors but I got it in the end by the following method.

Started Skymax - clicked on 'Start' then 'Erase' (got error), re-booted Eurovox, went into Jkeys - 'Flash Tools' got error, went back to Skymax loaded Tsop file (this always gives you an error but it seems to do something which allows Jkeys to work), back to Jkeys - 'Erase Flash' re-boot, then 'Write Flash'.
Bang it worked.

I took a little while using Skymax then Jkeys to Erase and Write but after a few attemps I got it going - give it a try.
