Default Astra 19.2 and Hotbird 13.0 Monobloc Problems

Hi people,

I am new to the satellite area and am currently having trouble in regards to receiving Astra 19.2 and Hotbird 13.0 using an Inverto Universal Monobloc LNB.

I am unable to receive signal from both satellites using the monobloc and was wondering if anybody could provide me with help as to where i am going wrong.

I am using a Technomate 1500 CI and was wondering whether i would have to change any settings within the satellite setup section?

If i move the dish about i can receive either Astra or Hotbird using the Monobloc LNB but am unable to receive both.

Could anybody please help?
Thank you<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

You do need to tell the receiver you are using a Diseqc switch. Most Monoblock's have Hotbird as Port A and Astra as Port B. So when setting up, do hotbird first and tell the receiver you are using port A of a Diseqc 1 switch and find the signal, then for Astra tell the receiver you are using Port B and you should be close.

If you have instructions with your Monoblock, double check that it does have Hotbird as A and Astra as B - some are the other way round.

Here are a couple of pictures of the set up that I did for my daughter in essex. 80cm dish focused on Hotbird, ie the clamped part of the monobloc picks up 13 east with the offset part picking up astra at 19east.

Also,remember that the Astra lnb(assuming the dish is focused on Hotbird),is slightly higher than the Hotbird lnb.
