hi well my box has been up and running few 2days and all is well
picture is ok not think its up to dbox standard not to say its bad but its. erm clear but not just cant put my finger on it wife says its fine i get eyes tested just in case. i moved the chanels around only to get up in morning to find them all gone back to how it set it self up, found out it does a self scan mode when in standby any chanels new are added old not working deleted. so you have to arange/add to Favourite called tv not tv-full all in all box is staying put friend just bought starview box so i compare with that when he gets it plus i think when firmware update arives this week will make a good box better not sure if its been mentioned but co-ax conects with standard f type no need for adapter as in dbox |

update picture is good it was old tv programs wife watching just had a look at starview box picture of Kryptview is as good if not better on my remote there is no dedicated favorte button like starview think starview is more user friendly than Kryptview epg 7 day pust the buton you lose the chanel your watching,
opens up new screen with 7 day listings from here you can set programs up remiders and such like once, weekly, every day, i'm pleased with it so far apart from not that user friendly in my opinion that is wife seems to getting on with it but then again she uses it more than me lol, would i buy another maybe was it worth £100+ = Mmm yes would i been happy with starview if i bought that instead = yes would i recomend Kryptview = yes faults silver i hate silver personal choice lol |

hi folks,
Just bought a kryptview box today, had problems with the eurovox in our area (ayrshire wightcablenorth/omne) so went on to get a starview box, its been working fine for about 9 months now, but its now losing the channels the same as the eurovox did, tried everything but to no avail... Bought the kryptview to see if it will solve our problems, as they say it will pick up everything, askedthe guy he says will work no probs in our area, done a scan managed to get 60 channels up, but they are saying "scrambled or video" not even receiving the normal bbc1,bbc2 etc...I know my way about the starview and eurovox so not really a beginner. Is there a EMU or anything that needs switched on? didn't get any instructions with it. can't find where the keys are either. Any help appreiated! jackdog |

you need to turn it onto standby then it goes into powerscan mode
give it half an hour then turn back on if this doesnt work leave it on an encrypted channel for half an hour then start flicking up and down the channels,if still not working try turning off for another half an hour it will work have a little faith just takes time and once its working its bullit proof i had 4 to do and it took me about 12 hours to get them all working correctly but what a box there gr8t

update..
been working on this all last night and this morning, tried the standby and leaving it on and off flicking through channels etc.. nothing has worked, did some researching and there is an update to the firmware version I was using, so I flashed with the new update(221007), now it doesn't find anything unless I manually type in the tp frequency and search it, but even when it finds a channel it still shows up the scrambled or no video error, I have left it on overnight and it still didn't clear, and all the channels are listed as 3000 for a channel number, when I put it into standby mode it starts the powerscan but still doesn't find any channels. So I tried reflashing back to the original firmware, but now the box freezes on the startup page and can't do anything with it, tried this on several occasions always does the same, is there a way I can get it back to original state i.e. a reset button to clear everything so as to start again? I think the original software worked better just cant get back to it. By the looks of things so far I don't think this box will work in the west of Scotland area either, anyone any other suggestions? Loads of people waiting to see if I can get this going. Cheers |
