Default pixx software?

Hi everyone mentioned some weeks ago i have this sat reciever been in garage a few years still works, does anybody know if there is any newer software available for it or is it car boot material?It also has a cam in it dont know which ,had open platform card used to get canal+ for footie. Is it worth pursuing or just get new sat box? have 80 cm dish &1.2 diseq motor, would apreciate comments...Thanks... ps the model is AD3500.

Is the CAM built in or in a common interface? If it's a CI, it should say what type it is on the side.

I would recommend the Technomate TM1xxx series receivers - they are cheap and very easy to patch/update
