Cool Problem flashing mac address

managed to flash the modem but not much luck placing a mac address on the modem. Using the ambit config tool 096. Have tried different combinations, forced tftp config, changed tftp server ip, changed tftp file name, no luck. In Pure N*L area. Used forced dhcp to get macs.

Yes I did. But could I not use them just to test to see if the modem has been flashed and working. If not where can I get some macs for notts outside basford. Cheers

Paul, you cant use the same that you sniffed at home mate..

If you go into the FTA Download Section, there is a Mac Swap Thread.. have a read to see if anyone has requested for a Mac Swap in Notts.. if not request for a Mac Swap mate.. hopefully you will find someone in your area..

Hi
Tried the macs I was sent but no luck.
I tried one of the macs I sniffed out and it worked. I am using a modded modem to sniff out. Am i sniffing out macs from my own area or from the area the mod has been flashed to. Would this make a difference.

If you use a MAC from your own area, you will get disconnected when that modem comes online - you need mac's from a neighbouring area.

You can't use Ambit software on a Surfboard modem. To change the MAC on a Surfboard use you web browser and go to http://192.168.100.1/hack.html and enter the MAC in the HFC MAC box
