Im having problems getting an IP when connecting my Modem directly to my PC via Ethernet or USB. I have a Ambit 120 Cable Modem provided by NTL at the time.
Connecting to the internet is fine when its connected to the router but I am wanting to do some MAC Sniffing and cant unless the modem is directly connected.

P.S. Ive also tried installing the software that was provided with the modem when the broadband package was bought.

Got it all sorted. Just needed to reboot modem.
