Hi guys

A while back I got myself a modified 250 Modem. I'm suppose to get a download speed of 20Meg, or maybe less say 15Mb per second.

BUT all I'm getting is either 1 mb/s or 2mb/s ??

what have I done wrong ???

someone please help

What make and No is this Modem and is it cable ? ADSL ? the more you can tell me the more i may be able to help you

its an NTL 250 Modem and it is cable !

and yes I have a router, but i tried it without the router, and I got the same thing !

Hi Ciwan Cable is more 5av`s or Steve0`s department as I'm into Computers that use Routers ADSL, help will be here soon

illegal modem!! naughty naughty lol

20 meg broadband is available in your area isnt it? i only get 8 meg download myself it all depends on times of day also speedtest isnt that reliable anyway.

my modem is meant to give 20 meg and ive just used that speed thing and this was the results.....

Ok I tried the speed test just now, and it said I had a speed of 15850 kb/s that is ilke 15mb/s right?

BUT when I try downloading a movie from ********** I get a download speed of 1 mb/s !!!

how come ??
