Default Eurovox Max V 2008 importing from China

This is possibly the wrong place to put this but I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience of bringing the Eurovox from China as I'm pretty sure that is where they are made.

EUROVOX MAX 2008 SERIES - EUROVOX MAX V - EUROVOX MAX V (China Manufacturer) - Satellite Equipment - Telecommunication & Broadcasting

If I read the above link right, they are offering the Eurovox Max V2008 for $55 which equates to about £25, I can't figure whether you have to order a minimum of 500 Units or $500 worth of units... can anyone shed any light on it?

Has anyone bulk ordered any of these from China? Are the units likely to be stopped at customs? What other costs might I incurr? Any advice appreciated...

China is well known for making copies of anything and everything - not sure about the ones in your link but I think the real Eurovox's are made in Korea.

Wonderful this is the shower that swamped the market with both the Starview and Eurovox clones through UK distributors who will remain nameless as we all know who they are, so all I can say is prepare for the 2008 Max V clones. And yes they only deal in bulk so if you want to buy 500 clones away you go.

The set-top box doesn't even look right, it still looks like the old eurovox model but they have slipped it into new nifty black packaging. Its not only a copy, but a shoddy half arsed copy at that.

You will have duty at something like 25% and VAT at 17.5% to pay - you'll likely have to pay shipping as well.

Well I only started selling bits on here due to the many posts asking where to buy bits and who was a reputable seller. Many people have been ripped off on ebay and others are nervous about buying from there. Yes things have expanded and I am selling some more bits including the Eurovox. I don't see how that makes this forum my "shop"

Many sites have sponsors, do you object to them? What about Darkman, the main writer of Patched Technomate software, are you boycotting his site? I suppose you won't be visiting ebay any more either.

Anyway, it's a free country and no one is forcing you to stay - so goodbye and good luck
