i have been told, to write to a nagra card, you have to have the infinity usb programmer, in phonenix mode, and connected to the pc by serial cable not usb cable ?

yes, read lots of guides, all tell you different things, i just want to confirm if its true, by someone who has wrote a nagra card using the programmerand with what cable , as i am getting no where fast

Usually you need to be in pure Phoenix mode to access an OSC - also best to use Nagraedit in compatibility mode if using WinXP.

Yes you need serial port connection.

Hi
in infinity software choose Virtual Com Port mode - in the settings should default to COM2 - in Nagra Edit right click icon (before double clicking which opens it - dont do that yet ) choose properties compatibility mode tab - choose Win98

Open Nagra Edit - in options choose COM2 as well - should be ok then
