Just to let you know I'll be testing some changes to Techwatch that will likely see the forums down for very short periods - a few minutes each time - through the day.
What I'm looking to do is to move the forums to their own subfolder - ie, techwatch.co.uk/forums/ in such a way that all the original links will still work and redirect people to the subfolder of the site instead. It's a little bit tricky, which is why I'm not expecting things to always run smoothly. I'm looking to bring in some big changes for Techwatch to help expand the site, which is why I'll need to move the forums to a subfolder, to allow for room for everything else. If successful, hopefully nothing will look too different, but as above, it's going to take a few times and a little trial and error to get it working - if I can today. |

Might be a good idea to take a full backup (or 2) before doing this - You don't want to lose everything

Okay, looks like the move was successful, though at present the homepage looks a little ugly - ie, missing images - but aside from that, forums moved into the /forums/ subfolder.
