i have had this update going for the past 4 hours now, is this normal?
all i can watch is the free channels

It happens from time to time. The codes will update eventually. Switching your box to S*y S*orts 1 will supposedly speed up the process. In fact, it happened to me earlier today, and took about 5 minutes to update once I'd switched to SS1.

thanks! it has been saying updating since 11am. i have switched to SS1, hopefully it starts working soon

Don't worry too much if it doesn't update quickly. About 3 weeks ago it came up with that updating codes message on my box at about 1AM. I fell asleep, and woke up about 5AM and the message was still there. It worried me for a while, but when I checked again a few hours later it had updated and everything was fine.

I too have had this happen several times,but it has always put itself right eventually ....its just testing you out
