DBox2 - Lost all channels & changes not being saved

Hi,

I am new here. I have had my DBox2 for about a year now and it was working fine. I was getting all of the channels (Virgin, London area). I was getting my channels through cable, not bb. I have only being using my DBox for watching tv...haven't messed about with any other settings.

So here is where the problems started...for the last couple of months everytime I rebooted my DBox I had to restart the EVOCAMD - all the channels were just coming up with a black screen until I rebooted the EVOCAMD. This was annoying, but at least it didn't take too long!

As of yesterday morning though, this is not working. I am only getting the terrestrial channels coming through. There is a chance that these were coming through previously without the EVOCAMD being rebooted (I never checked, I always just rebooted it).

I have tried to rescan for channels, but even though it scans succesfully the rescanned image will not save. I think the main issue is that I cannot make any changes on my DBox for some reason - i tried to delete all bouquets, and these changes did not save either. This made me think that the problem could be that now when i reboot the EVOCAMD the system is not picking this up either.

Any advice would be grealty appreciated. I have read through the exiting threads and can't seem to find anyone with this problem.

There was a key change yesterday, which could be why your channels went black.

It sounds to me like your image has gone read only - this can happen when the memory on the box gets full. Your best bet is to flash a new image to the box.

Take a backup of your Bouquets, then flash the image and re-scan, then put your bouquets back on.
