Has anyone got a V+ HD box. If so is it really worth the money? Ive just recently bought an HD TV and was thinking of upgrading to the HD service to get the full benifit of the TV. Anybody any advice?

Cheers for your thoughts guys. I just thought that £150 connection fee was a bit steep for something probably you could do yourself, especially as all the cables are already there in the house

.I told them i wanted the V+ and they can and fitted it, mind you that was in the time before virgin(on the expensive) took over.

you'll get a deal if you hold out but you have to ask if there's any deals going they aren't allowed to tell you before you ask

I just sent my V+ back as it was a bag of kak. I hated recording on the thing, it was fantastic for recording stuff on the pre-record settings. The nightmare was the ' oh quick i didn't know that was on i'll record it now' sort of stuff. If say you recorded a few music clips of MTV it would miss agood 40-90 secs of the video for all the confermation crap ( do you want to record ?, are you sure this is what you want to record ?, are you sure you want to cancel, Canceling this witll stop recording , so you want to continue ? ect.... ect.....) . Then after you recorded it the thing would just list up as 'recorded clip' with time date. The box would also freeze like Jack Frosts left nutt, sometime it would take upto 5 mins for the box to respond to do anything via the remote. Then once the box unfroze it would spin out due to all the buttons you been pressing in the 5 min period of hanging.
Nah i'll stick now with my EuroVox and my Progressive HDD/DVD recorder that i can preview tiny window clips of the things i can view. Lifes alot easyer without V+ in our household.
