Default best modem to use

thinking of getting a modem from nick nack's what is the best 1 ,easiest to set up etc

I find the Surfboards slightly easier to setup, but they don't work in ex C&W area's and are only DOCSIS1. The 250's work in all areas and are DOCSIS2 compatible if that is ever used exclusively on the network.

The 250's are probably better value, especially if you already have a PSU

ok i'm more familiar with the surfboards so i'll stick with them
any 5100's? 1 of them if do will do nicely, what else will i need psu etc i might as well get all i need at once.

ps not sure if you do this but you should do a full kit pack for those that need it,
modem,psu,cables etc

I only have the SB4xxx series, I do have all the kit but a-la-carte, ie you buy what you need
