Default dbox help for beginners

hi im new here and confused with this d box stuff, i bought a d box from ebay and it said it was in debug mode which i was informed that i could just plug and play, which it doesnt, i have the tools disk( whatever that does and when i switch it on and connect it to my cable i get an image of a pirate and it comes up with all this info but then theres no channels and on the display on the box theres a row of 99999999s if that makes sense and all that it says that there is 5 channels on the screen which look german to me, i have tried going through the menus and scanning but this produces nothing, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you've got a German image on your box. You will need to reflash it with a UK image.

There should be plenty of them in the downloads section.

Do a search on how to flash your box.. should be plenty of threads on how to do it

hello and welcome to techwatch there's loads of guides and files for the dbox in the dl area when you become established it will be available to you but try to read some posts your problem may have come up before

hi ther im new iv just got dbox1 workin fine till i press someting one the control and carnt get eney ov the channel back on can someone help plz

Are you sure you have a Dbox 1? If so you're probably best advised to chuck it away. What part of "working fine" do you have if you can't get any channels?

ye al iv got is a few german channels when i turn the dbox back on i have a picture ov a pirate

it was workin fine till i pressed somethink on the control shaddax
