Question What to buy

Hiya

I would like to buy a Digital Camera that i can connect to my Computers, saying that i don't know a thing about then as i borrow my Dads ATM , so can someone please suggest something around £200, any help / advice appreciated thank you

dont be tempted by large amounts of mega pixels or a great massive digital zoom

what a camera has to have is large optical zoom and great optics, go for a big name brand as these usually have a reputation to uphold.

for £200 you can for a panasonic lumix fz range or a decent kodak z770

i will have more info for you later

I have been looking at the panasonic lumix fz-7 "picture below" is a very nice Camera so I'm going to hunt around to find the best price and order it.

The FZ7 would be a good choice, see if you can push for the FZ10, The panasonic FZ range are an amazing range of cameras, with a wide telephoto lens,

I had heard some of the pros mention that these are the next best thing after SLR/DSLR.

I am currently negotiating the price of a sony DSC-H3,

Connecting to your PC shouldn't be a problem - they usually come with their own USB cable and image software, so it's as simple as plug and play - unlike video camcorders where you can require a Firewire card in the PC.
