Default How to update Cams?

I am using Commando 8.2 which has 3 cams included. One is Evocam V2.14, I have V 2.16 but I don't know where to copy it. I see various files relating to mgcam and newcam but no mention of evocam.
The files I have are evocamd.mips evocamd.ppc and evocamd_td. Where should they go?

You need the evocamd file that has been compiled for D-Box or Dreambox and it usually goes in /var/emu

I did have a look for the evocamd file before I posted, now I realise that I don't have a /var/emu directory. I'm confused as to where my existing evocamd file is. The camd that I notice most is mgcamd ,this is my active camd as it is far better than the other 2. Perhaps because they are not installed in the correct location?

They can be installed almost anywhere, so long as the configuration points to the correct place. /var/emu or /var/bin/emu is favourite - in my latest image, they are in /bin/emu and cannot be changed easily as it's squashfs

Mgcamd is a good cam for UK Cable as is gbox. The others wouldn't work at all if they were in the wrong place
