I heard the HV-20 uses the same sensor as the HV 10. How are they able to lower the lux down to 3lux? With a Better faster lense? In camcorder software noise reduction? I think I read they are getting the better low light by a slower shutter?

That minimum illuminance rating might be simply the result of 24p at 1/48th sec shutter vs 30p at 1/60th shutter. Normally the illuminance rating is followed by gain lens and shutter details (ie. +18db f1.6 1/60th) but since this is a consumer camera, they could be doing anything, like counting a super slow shutter mode that wouldnt actually be usable except as novelty. the lens is still f1.8 so its not the lens. anyone see any details about the lux rating?
