I personally perfer the sony HC7. I dont care about the sensor size, its the quality and looking at the specs, the HC7 has more effective pixels.
HC7: 2280K
HV20: 2078K
although this confused me when I compared the Canon and Sony's video performance since I could swear that the Canon has a somewhat better looking video performance even if not as color intensive as the HC7.
Anyways I'm sticking to the HC7 for its low light performance, its still camera ability and the exclusive infrared system which only sony has

think you could send the link for hc20 night shot samples if you've found it stanleyh? I remember seeing a page from impress.jp but I just remember there being a video of some trees and the sky. Maybe a color palette as well. I'd love to see the nightshot of the hc20.

I have seen footage of HV10 in semi low light and they look noise free.

I'd pay money to have someone put a HV20 and HC7 on a tripod togeather and shoot some footage under a variety of situations.

It would be even better if they could throw in the HV10 and HC3 for comparison.

Just to round it out, shoot the same stuff with the Sony FX7 and Canon A1.

Then you could see what you get by moving up and down the price scale.

I'd pay $25. Get enough people and it might be worth someone's while.
