Default HV20 standard camera shoe?

I'm just wandering if anyone knows if the HV20 accessory shoe is a standard mount or is it, like the Sony cams, only able to use Canon accessories? I was thinking of getting a Rhode video mic and if I got the Canon, would it fit the shoe?

If it is a standard mount it's pretty funny how it loads from the back. Would that have any effect on how the external mic is attached?

Now have seen pictures on Watch Impress but ti's kinda hard to tell for sure. Does any one no for certain?

HV20 has advanced accessory shoe with the same diameters as standard shoe.
