Thanks man. Sorry for the late response been testing and working on website for business. Yeah I have to say when I ran this up on my 107inch projector screen all my concerns for quality from HDV had dissapeard. The footage i shot was breath taking. The issue I now have, is maintaining quality footage when transffering it to DVD. Lot's of issues seem to be in this area worldwide. I have found using NLE's to import the footage tend to produce noise once rendered to DVD. But now I have found a very good workaround and it seems to be solid. Oh and yeah I am loving this camera.

Why have you to downgrade from hd to sd ?
If you dont want to use your cam to read the video you can use your PC with a video card with hdmi or component output
I bought myself a laptop (HP 9000 series ) with hdmi output
My videos after editing are on an 320 gigas external USB2 hard drive ( same hd properties as captures)
That is cost effective (dollars/giga)
I have a Pana ptax100 720p hd ready projector with hdmi input
This is for the moment upon my modest opinion the way to go (waiting for a while that blue ray burner readers will be available for a reasonable price)

soru forgot to say that you need a security copy of important footage on a second hard drive ( hard drive = since hd footage are huge and wont fit on a dvd without down sampling
Down sampling to dvd format will never be realy watchable with 107 inch projection ( you roughly have around 20-25% of the high def quality) and bigger is the screen , the more visible will be this drop in quality

Hey thanks for the question. Basically most people are still into DVD. Like star wars putting HD to DVD is the challenge. Most of my clients are not High Rollers. As for me I have over a Terrabyte of HDD space and more so space is not the Issue. I am trying to get the best Image Possible to DVD. I have discovered the week link is Adobe Media Encoder and I am now looking at alternatives. I have found success however useing longer workaround methods. You can get outstanding quality through DVD particularly on 107 inch screen as I have been getting. Now I'm trying to find faster render times with less workarounds. In other words a one stop shop. Cheers.
