Default HDD Camcorder Question

Can you use a standard USB2.0 external HDD to "offload" the contents of your cameras HDD in the field without the use of a computer?

I don't think so. Usually it's only a feature on prosumer cameras. The only consumer camera I've seen with this feature is the Panasonic AG-HSC1U.
