Thanks for the link, looks like I have lots reading to do in this extensive manual but when I'm done it should help me decide whether to get the HV10 now or wait to choose between this HV20 or Sony Hc7.

I read through the manual and could not find anything stating the HV20 had a completely manual mode, just aperture and shutter priorty. Is there no true manual mode?
