One of the major improvement over the ux1 seems to be the noise issue.i am the owner of an hdrux7 and i record mostly at HQ which give me 20 minutes per dvd and the picture seen on a 52xbr2 lcd is great.Side by side while comparing with the picture of the hc7(minidv) they are almost identical.Either they improved the avchd compression or the slightly bigger cmos made a world of difference. The difference between HQ+ and HQ is trivial.Im using HQ+(15 minutes per dvd) only in dark places as a precaution. The ux7 is a fantastic camcorder.Sorry for my poor english.
