Default Using Vegas, Premiere and Final Cut

I use all three for editing and I like Vegas the Best. If I want to do a project and get it done fairly fast, I go to Vegas. Final Cut is slower for me. However, since each of us are built differently, Final Cut or Premiere may work the best. I am anxious for Premiere Pro to be available for Mac. I would get that for my iMac 24. (I also edit with a PC) Roger

where is the best place to buy this software from and how big is the learning curve. I am soon to buy a camera and want to do some editing but i don't have a lot of time to learn. Is it fairly simple to pick up??

Howdy,

I'd suggest Vegas. It's an easy, simple program. All you have to do is drag the video to timeline, drag one end on top the other for the crossfade and you're done.

There are more advanced options if you wanted to get into them. It is the more "manual-type" program. Others like Movie Maker only force you to click the video, select transition, and output. With Vegas you'll get a little more control over what it is you are actually trying to do.

Even though there are other faily good and simple programs I would still suggest Vegas- it's encoding engine is unmatched, totally my opinion.

You can get it here:
