Out of curiosity. How did you find out if this housing will work? I can't seem to get a straight answer out of anyone at Sonystyle.

Thanks

I asked the sales rep I ordered my HC7 from at sonystyles.... I asked which water housing works with the HC7... He put me on hold came back and said the SPK-HCC was the correct one.... I will let you know when I receive it... I took the free ground shipping so it will be about 5 days or so before I get it.... Got the 20% off too....

I had trouble finding the straight answer on the HCC also. I think the clue is the fact it has a 37mm "anti-reflex" ring. Not sure what other differences there might be from the HCB. The HCB can be had for $150, hopefully the price will come down on the HCC.

Looking forward to some first-hand reports on how well it works. I'm also wondering if it use the LANC port for camera control inside the housing.

I called Sony tech support yesterday and after about 20 minutes on hold was told the HCC is designed for the HC7.

Unfortunately your coupon code doesn't work for me. 20% off would be sweet. Please detail how you got the 20% off.
