In the Netherlands shipment of the first HV20's is expected on the 20th of April. So it would be in the stores not earlier than April 24th. This is information of Canon Netherlands.

Sadly because I am leaving for holiday on April 20th...

Hi pud77 yeah I seen them from electronic-king-inc via ebay.co.uk, what do you guys think about buying stuff from ebay which is then shipped from the usa, hong kong........... what kinda warranty/compatabilty probs could you have?

I wouldn't bid on ebay for high prices. there are a lot of fake cameras rounding there. that's my advise.

Dabs have put the price up to £740.99, still with 1-2 days waiting time. Possible price rise in anticipation for an immininent stock delivery ?

Yeah I spoke to them it was £733 on wed now gone up, Canon had told Dabs they should get stock to them on the 10th April but dabs could not promise this, Ive pre ordered one anyway as they dont take the money until dispatch!

Fingers crossed it all goes well, just couldn't refuse at a price of ?470 (approx $925)

That's the problem of buying the first round available, hi prices. If ya'll could wait six months then there may be price differences that make shopping worth while ..... nope like most can't seem to want to wait

An update on UK availability from Dabs. They have now put it back to 3-4wks with the price at £740.99. A few places have it for £720 ish but stock ETA of 1-2wks minimum.
