Default Editing GZ-HD7 footage

I know that the GZ-HD7 will apparently come with some editing software. Does anybody know if any of the major video editing products (from Adobe, Pinnacle, Apple, etc) will support this format in the near future. Editing software bundled with a camcorder tends to be very basic.

A Quicktime Component will be made available - and will ship with the package you'll get when you buy. This will allow you to edit with iMovie or Final Cut on the Mac Platform. The package ships also with a bundle that makes it possible for you to edit on a PC.

Any day now I reckon. It's already available for order at several reliable websites. Once it appears in Bic Camera in Shinjuku, which means its readily available, I'll post here again.

How do you guys think the gz-hd7 will compare to the other consumer camcorders shooting HD? The lens sounds like a big step up, but how is full HD 1080 @ 60i gonna compare to 1080 @ 24p on a HV20?

Default Sample footage here

for those that haven't seen it, there's a 174 mb sample clip toward the bottom of this page (It's in Japanese)

Some noticable artifacts during panning and tilt - hope that's the NLE and not the camera...
