What is the HD resolution of the HC7? Is it 1920x1080?

HDV (as the hc7) resolution is 1440x1080 by definition. Canon HV20 is said to be a 1920x1080 with 24p capability but I'll wait for a review.

HC7 resolution is 1920x1080.

However, it's recorded to tape as HDV 1440x1080.

If you were to capture uncompressed via HDMI you'll get 1920x1080 full hd interlaced picture.
