Sony HC20 CMOS is 1980 OK but it register on tape , like all tape hd camcorder at 1440 x 1080 ( this is standard ) This resolution is a bit higher than your 1366x768 sony HDready TV and The your TV have to downsize the input comming from camcorder. The result is still very good with current diagonelsize of 42 to 55 inches TV. You realy need a very huge TV to see the difference . I got a 1366 x 768 hd ready pana projector and project to a very large 110 diagonal inches wall and the result is still good ( at that size maybe I'll see a big difference if I had a 1980 projector ) Thats at least my opinion And remember ( resolution is not the only factor in perceived quality. other factors also contributes like inhancing mecanisme from your TV , contrast, colour etc) just be happy |

Unless you're using a tethered computer with an HDMI capture card and fast storage, there's no way to store the full data stream quickly enough. All compression is a compromise, but it's one we still have to make.
