Online vendors selling camcorders on ebay - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

I was wondering if anyone has had experience dealing with any of the vendors who regularly sell on ebay?

There is one in particular, operating out of the U.S. (I think it's called DigitalCorp), that offers an extraordinary deal on the Canon A1 which includes two additional lenses (telephoto +wide angle) and so forth. Having only recently started researching a potential camcorder I wonder if I am being naive and this is too good a deal to be true.

Any thoughts/personal stories would be much appreciated.

I would watch out for that kind of deal on eBay. While the guy has so so feedback he has a lot on negatives and if something goes wrong with the camera you might as well forget trying to return it. And regrading the extras he is including, most of it is cheap crap you can pick up on eBay separately. Buy the camera from a reliable store and get the extras on eBay. Here is a good online store selling just the camera for $3,379 no tax no shipping (to CA):

i found it in ebay.com. Shipping from Japan. The price is lower than USA shops (1050 vs 1200$). Can somebody tell is it good idea to buy it from Japan? Thanks

I recently won a auction for a canon hv10 and the seller gave me a lame excuse and refunded my payment probably because he didnt want to honor the price. Total was around $575 shipped. I might just buy it from amazon since they are selling it for $645 with free shipping because I encountered a lot of shadyness going on with the people selling hv10 and hv20s on ebay
