Default Viewing M2T files

Hey guys,

I'm new to this. Recently downloaded two programs to view M2T files. Nero Quick Time and VLCmedia. They play all the files. But for some odd reason when the camera begins panning I see "horizontal scan lines". Very noticeable on vertical lines (e.g. street sign posts, windows of passing cars...etc.). Why is this happening? Is there a way to remove this? A setting perhaps?

And sorry for the newbie question. I didn't see a "General questions" forum.

Thanks!

interlacing.

Go to options and select "blend de-interlacing" somewhere.

Or download Elecard MPEG2 Codec that'll allow m2t's to be played back on Windows Media Player

I went into VLCmedia/preferences and turned on the deinterlacing filter. It wasn't selected. Then again I didn't know I had to. Fixed the problem.

As for the Elecard MPEG2 Codec...which one exactly should I download so I can play M2T files on WMP? Would this be the one? The Elecard AVC PlugIn v 2.0 for MPEG Player...Elecard MPEG Player v 4.5? I didn't see a list of "codecs".

http://www.elecard.com/download/

Thanks!!
