Default Canon HV10 vs HV20

Hello!

I have been looking for a nice DV cam for a while, the HV10 seemes to be really nice. I wonder if the newer HV20 is much better and worth its expenser price vs the HV10?

I should be glad if somebody could show me some nice original movies from HV10 & HV20.

Regards /Dennis

I've read some complaints about tape noise on the HV10. How is the tape noise on the HV20 in comparison?

Hmm, i hope its not that loud that it gets annoying?

Whats the biggest difference compared to HV20? Do HV10 have something that`s better than HV20 apart from the appearance?

I'm also not sure if I'm one of those people who is just plain ANNOYED by all camcorder tape noise. The Elura 100 I had previously was just ridiculous for tape noise though... I don't want anything like that again. Hopefully my question will be answered by the video samples!

Ok. You dont have any videos from a HV10 or/and HV20 to share ?
Hows with the DV-band -> computer, does it take years and days to take all data from the DV-band to the computer?

Unfortunately I don't have either camera yet. I'm in the 'begging for information' camp at the moment. My experience is limited to my Elura 100.

Yeah, sorry, I realize I was not answering your question at all! I think I posted in the wrong window, and meant this post for a different thread altogether.

Look under the Videos section of this website for sample videos on the HV20. I have uploaded several there.

Default HV20 vs HV10

The HV20 as many advantages vs HV10

- better low light results
- cinema mode
- mic and phones connections
- hot shoe for accesories
