Hi there,

I've read that only HDMI will allow a 4:2:2 color range to be captured on a computer. I've read about a HDMI capture card somewhere, which was pretty cheap - but I bought an Imac 24" recently and cannot add any cards... so I assume I cannot capture 4:2:2 via Firewire?

firewire is ok.

uncompressed 4:2:2 is not possible.

Firewire will give you a regular HDV, m2t file like those avail for download
