Default Connecting Canon HV20 to PC

hi all,

newbie here :-(

do i need a DV cable to download videos to the PC? i can download pictures using the supplied USB cable...

running Vegas Movie Studio and i can only configure IEEE1394 connected devices.

help!

Nick,

You will need a firewire connection to your PC to trasfer videos to your PC. The USB connection on the camera is only for stills.

btw, it was from your video postings that i decided on the HV20!!!

WOW thanks Nick! I am glad the videos I have shot and uploaded here have helped. I still love my HV20 and use it everyday. If you have and questions or need help just ask. Enjoy your camera and upload some samples when you get some.
