Eurovox max V 2008 + smallworld = help

hi,
just wondering if anybody can help.
i'm currently on smallworld cable in Carlisle
just purchased the Eurovox max v 2008.

set the symbol rate @ 6.952

then done a power scan, the eurovox has found all the channels and Tp's

free channels work fine , but when trying to view pay channels all i get is:
"please wait , code being updated"...............bah
have left on skysports1 for nearly 24hours now.
still that message, so it's not going to update is it...

have searched the internet + other forums, other smallworld users have the same problem, but have yet to find why??

anybody know a fix?? workaround??

last night manually entered all the new keys into the eurovox :NThell, c+w, telepest, still nothing.
also does anybody know , what is the keys smallworld use: i.e nthell,telepest, c+w, or do they use their own??

other forums suggested , manually input the frequencies, then do a auto/manual scan , which i have done, but to no avail !!

as far as i can see all channels are correctly tuned, but scrambled channels just say "please wait, code being updated"

i'm convinced the eurovox Will work on smallworld, as they are just using somebody else's cable system- bought in at wholesale.

its probably something completely simple + stupid.

any help/info/ please post

It's possible (but unlikely) that they don't transmit the key update data on all channels, you could try leaving it on a different channel for a while.

Try random General Entertainment/Asian/Movie channels for 30-50 minutes at a time.

has been left on other channels as well, on and off since wednesday !

still no joy.........

read on another forum, a guy had the same problem, returned the box, tried a starview box, worked ok.

must just be something stupid, i cant work it out

im from the smallworld area allso.
there seams to be a problem with ths boxs i had both eurovox max v 2008 black,(both never worked)
my brother and dad have the same boxs both working fine, cant figure out what the problem is with my box sending it back again, i tried a box to box transfer no joy,
theres a guy in irvine whos selling these boxs there all work fine, firmware on his boxs are UFL_MAX_V_06_09_07 i tried that aswell still no joy and the lastest firmware, so it must be the boxes,

glad to hear i'm not the only one!!

my firmware also is sept 06 2007, tried the new 15th oct kuro as well, still no joy.
can you have a look at your brother + dads box's.
press menu, language settings, 1968, emulation shows up, 1968 again, move table over to nagravision, what does it list in there???
mine lists:
ntl 54 01 - 00 keys
ntl 54 01- 01 keys
telewest 5a 01 - 00 keys
telewest 5a 01 - 01 keys
c+w 5c 01 -00 keys
c+w 5c 01 -01 keys
no name
no name

take a note of what their box says, have a look in yours (should be same as mine, as its not working)
was told manually input the data that they have (in the working box's) into your box, should work
depending where you live the eurovox finds it hard to get the keys + data,from smallworld, if you manually input it, should work,

also post back here what your brother + dads box's say, so i can input aswell + try

moderator edit - the keys have been removed as they are not permitted on the forum any longer. They may have been when this post was made last year but not now. This is solely to protect the future safety of the forum.

Hi buddy,
this method works 100%,
you dont need to wait for codes updating, when you go to sly sports it will be working,

make sure you are saving the settings and not deleting them,

let me know how you get on,
if your in the irvine area i could do it for you no problem.
